Ramón Vizcaino throughout the world

Ramón Vizcaíno has established itself as a benchmark not only nationally, but also internationally in terms of refrigeration technology. Its presence in over 45 countries of the five continents endorses its vast experience and track record. Beyond our borders we have eight branches, three in Europe (Belgium, Luxembourg and the United Kingdom), four in Africa (Morocco and Tunisia, Senegal and Angola) and one in Latin America (Venezuela).

International Positioning: Strategy and objectives

In the early 70s, Ramón Vizcaíno, the leader in the market of industrial refrigeration and agri-food process applications on a national scale, and in view of the growing boom in exports and the implementation of projects overseas, embarked on its international path which led to the creation of the International Division which later, in 1997, became the company Ramón Vizcaíno Internacional S.A., with a view to channelling through this medium all its growing international activity.

For Ramón Vizcaíno, the international markets were a natural destination for the company and an area of constant growth. The undertakings and projects of Ramón Vizcaíno, of the "turnkey" type, practically extend to the five continents with extremely varied types of both refrigeration and agri-food plants, and for both private and public clients. The operations have mainly taken place in developing countries, where refrigeration infrastructures arrived late or were non-existent. Thus, in many cases these projects have been undertaken with funding provided from Aid Loans, granted by the Spanish Government for the execution of social and development projects in some of these countries.

The vast experience in construction and maintenance of installations, combined with the development of technological applications based on ammonia over the last 40 years, the use of which is now being supported by the European Union, is proving Ramón Vizcaíno to be right, in preference to previous technologies based on other refrigerants, and enables the company to occupy a privileged position at the forefront of technology to increase its presence in the European market, as a "green" company, concerned with technologies which are sustainable with the environment and of low energy consumption, as in the case of the use of ammonia as a refrigerant fluid, with significant business possibilities.
